Call For Producers
Red Betty Theatre is seeking three producers to lead the delivery of our 2021/2022 season projects.
For over 10 years Red Betty Theatre has welcomed and cultivated space for IBPOC women’s voices and stories. As Red Betty moves into its second decade and the next phase of its growth, we look ahead to projects such as a full-length production of Blackberry, fostering new playwrights through the annual Decolonise Your Ears New Play Festival, and the post production and release of our 10th Anniversary Podcast Series.
Blackberry Producer Fee: $5000
Decolonise Your Ears New Play Festival 2022 Producer Fee: $4000
Post-Production & Marketing for Podcast Series: $2500
Start Dates: Start dates are dependent on which project a producer is hired for
Blackberry (March 2022-production in August 2022)
Decolonise Your Ears (March 2022 production in October 2022)
10th Anniversary Podcast (March 2022 released in May 2022)
Management and execution of assigned project (Blackberry production, Decolonise Your Ears New Play Festival or 10th Anniversary Podcast Series)
Coordinating and facilitating the work of the design and production teams
Managing, and reconciling production budgets
Revenue development of funds for production budget
Develop and execute a marketing and publicity strategy for the production
Writing and submitting final reports
The ideal Candidate possesses
Experience of 3+ years as a theatrical producer/arts administrator or similar type work
High degree of motivation and professionalism
Proven ability to communicate effectively and work productively with artists, staff, and volunteers
Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a wide variety of organizational stakeholders
Proven ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
Reports to: General Manager
